Hello everyone,
I can’t believe it’s already almost been one whole month since I launched The Anne Boleyn Diaries! Time truly does fly when you’re doing something you love. It feels like yesterday I was sitting at my laptop writing my introduction – I was so nervous!
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has supported me during this first month. Every like, comment, and interaction across my socials and blog has meant the world to me. I’m unbelievably grateful for this community. Connecting with fellow Tudor enthusiasts has been such a joy, and I’m so excited to see where this journey takes us in the new year.
Today marks the official four-week anniversary of The Anne Boleyn Diaries, and with 2025 just around the corner, what better time to share some reflections and goals for the year ahead?
1. Expanding to Short-Form Content: One of my main goals is to start creating reels for Instagram and Facebook. Short, engaging videos will allow me to share all things Anne Boleyn in a fresh way (for me, at least), and it feels like the perfect next step. I’m also considering expanding to TikTok, though I’m still largely undecided about that! My current blog schedule will remain the same.
2. Starting a Podcast: Launching a podcast is a big dream of mine, though it’ll probably happen later in the year. As a naturally shy and introverted person, even deciding to create reels has been a huge step out of my comfort zone, so starting a podcast will take a little bit more time.
3. Graduation: 2025 is the year I (hopefully) graduate with my MRes in History. I’m still refining my dissertation topic, so I can’t reveal too much yet, but I’ll share updates when I can. This milestone feels so exciting yet so daunting – wish me luck!
4. Visiting London: Living in the north means I don’t get to visit London as often as I’d like (trains are expensive!), but I’m planning a two-day trip for May. My first day will be spent visiting Hampton Court Palace (for the very first time!), and the second at the Tower of London – on the anniversary of Anne Boleyn’s execution. I suspect this will be the only time I’ll be able to travel to London next year – though I’m holding out hope for trips to Westminster Abbey and Hever Castle – so I’m excited to savour every moment.
As 2025 approaches, I’m filled with so much excitement for what’s to come. This first month has been amazing, and I know the new year will bring even more opportunities to grow and connect with all of you.
Thank you again for being a part of this journey. Your support has made The Anne Boleyn Diaries so much more than I ever imagined. Here’s to a fantastic new year filled with history, learning, and lots of Tudor-inspired fun!
Love always,
Kelly
