The Month is May

May is one of the most significant (and heartbreaking) months in the story of Anne Boleyn. It marks the dramatic fall of England’s most famous queen consort, from power and prestige to betrayal, trial, and execution. Because of this, I will be dedicating the entire month to telling her story day by day over here on The Anne Boleyn Diaries.

What to Expect This Month

This May, I’ll be posting daily content to take you through Anne Boleyn’s final days in real time. You can expect:

  • On This Day posts: Follow along with the key events of 1536 as they happened, from the May Day joust to Anne’s arrest, trial, and tragic execution.
  • In-depth blog entries: Each date will include a full blog post exploring the people, politics, and power plays behind the headlines. Every Wednesday, I’ll also post a themed entry that dives deeper into key topics around Anne’s life and legacy.
  • Book recommendations: Want to learn more? I’ll be sharing my favourite books about Anne and her world, from academic works to historical fiction.
  • Anne Boleyn locations: We’ll travel (virtually) to the key places that shaped her life, including Hever Castle and the Tower of London.
  • TikTok & Instagram extras: Head to my socials for exclusive videos, voiceovers, and snapshots that bring the drama to life.
  • Weekly Q&As: Every Sunday, I’ll be answering your questions about Anne Boleyn, the Tudors, and my research! Look out for question boxes on Instagram.

Whether you’re new to Anne’s story or a longtime admirer, I hope this month helps deepen your understanding of who she really was, and why she still fascinates us nearly 500 years later.

Stay tuned, and thank you for joining me in remembering Anne Boleyn.
